About Gallagher Medical Practice
Welcome to Gallagher Medical Practice, a long-established family practice proudly serving the communities of Ballickmoyler, Carlow, Hacketstown and Rathvilly, as well as patients from the surrounding counties.
Our practice was founded in the late 1970s by Dr. Patrick McDermott, whose dedication to patient care laid the foundation for the service we continue to provide today. Dr. Niamh Gallagher joined the practice in 2001, followed by Dr. Ronan Gallagher in 2009. Following Dr. McDermott’s retirement in 2015, the practice became known as Gallagher Medical Practice, reflecting its continuing commitment to high-quality, patient-centred general practice under the care of the Gallagher doctors. Since then, the practice has continued to grow with the addition of Dr. Catherine Elliott in 2015 and Dr. Michael Wall in 2023.
We are committed to providing comprehensive, compassionate healthcare to individuals and families at every stage of life. Our team values continuity of care, respect, clear communication, and a holistic approach to health and wellbeing.
